Hi Everyone……here we are, this is what we look like.  This is the man Brad that I have been talking about in previous blogs and we are so excited about your upcoming visits to Grand Victorian and Jackson Hole.   Hawaii is beautiful but in our opinion the magnificence of the mountains and wildlife in Grand Teton Park and Yellowstone is unsurpassed.   We have worked hard in sprucing up the Inn just for you.  We have current  pictures of our rooms and Inn soon to be updated on our website.  Look for them as you make your selections.  We would love to add another link for attractions that most guests ask for and will recommend companies that will take good care of you.

Just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and anticipate your visit at our elegant home away from home bed and breakfast where we as owners and innkeepers await to serve you to the best of our ability.  Our goal is to treat you as we would want to be treated……..sounds like the golden rule, eh?

How To Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back

Howdy!  May was such a wonderful month filled with wildlife sightings by guests, Brad and me.   May truly is the best time to see wildlife as they come out from the winter hibernation.  The weather can be “iffy” ranging from sunny and 60's to snow and cold but our guests made the  best of the situation.

June is a wonderful time of transition to nicer weather and increased guest visits.  Graduations and weddings generally take place in the beginning but by mid June when schools are dismissed for the summer increased traffic to Jackson Hole is expected.   From end of June to mid August is considered the high season for this area so don't delay too long to make your reservations with us.  Our guests will attest to the publicized advantage of our location as ideal.  We are one block off the main street creating quietness as well as easy walking distance to the town square and best restaurants.  Another advantage is we are 12 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes to the entrance of Grand Teton Park.   Jackson Hole visitors cente

How To Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back

r is just around the corner from Grand Victorian Lodge for all the information you would need.

I have enjoyed making breakfast each morning while my husband Brad helps with serving and busing.   On some of the mornings he makes his delicious fruit smoothies and guests eat every drop of it.  Yesterday I made fresh peanut butter oatmeal cookies for our afternoon cookie, tea and coffee time.  What is fun is taking the cookies and tea out on our front or back porches with a good book, computer or just taking in the sunshine.  Our desire is to make your visit to Jackson Hole memorable and relaxing.  You all need time to rejuvenate and refresh yourselves, even vacations can be stressful.

We have new pictures of our rooms coming soon so watch for them!!   Come see Jackson Hole, Grand Teton Park and Yellowstone……..they are majestic !!!!

Verse  thought for the day:  ” Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.”   Psa. 25:4-5

HOWDY EVERYONE!  Elk Fest taking place this weekend and people are starting to travel to Jackson Hole.  Next Memorial weekend is Old West Days that is packed with activities such as a parade, Jackson Hole Rodeo and famous stage coach rides.  One of our recommendations for popular activities is Bar J Chuckwagon supper and show…a super affordable authentic type of western entertainment…..very memorable.    Teton Music Festival will be starting up on July 4 ……..the musical talent abounds.

Guests are coming to stay with us in greater numbers.  This past week guests represented the east, south and international.  Guests from Australia and Italy have already traveled to the area.  Several couples celebrating honeymoons and anniversaries…….we get that alot!!  Must be the Victorian styling that strikes the romantic notion which we are.

Brad, my husband, has been preparing and serving his delicious fruit smoothies that are more than just fruit….guests are eating every drop.  Very yummy!  Good job honey. I made some Snickerdoodle cookies today….it is so much fun baking for our guests.  Tomorrow’s breakfast will consist of yogurt parfaits and banana sour cream pancakes with sausage patties.  People from Italy wanted my pancake recipe.  We have enjoyed our morning visits with the guests over breakfast…….so memorable.  Thank you all for staying with us.

Verse for the day:   “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.”  Psalm 143:8

Blessings to all……….your hosts…..Brad and Nancy

WINGS LIKE EAGLES

Howdy…….it’s me again….your host from GRAND VICTORIAN LODGE!!  What a fabulous time we had with our guests this past weekend.  Brad made his amazing fruit smoothie and the guests loved the refreshing taste.  Our guests said we made their four criteria standards for staying at a bed and breakfast :  beautiful exterior, homey and stylish interior decorating, friendly innkeepers ( aww shucks!) and good breakfast.

The thought for the day is from Isaiah 40:31 -  “but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”   In other words, when you look to the LORD GOD for whatever you are going through He will strenghten and guide you through any problems.   Blessings from your hosts……….Brad and Nancy

Awaiting your arrival

Howdy………we had an amazing time of fellowship with our first guests last night, Hal and Paula from Conneticut.  They are great Christian friends who come back every year sometimes twice a year :-)    It was so much fun sharing our lives with tea and chocolate chip cookies.  This morning over breakfast we continued our visit ……….I served egg scramble topped with cheddar cheese sprinkled with parsley, homemade whole wheat bread, scrumptious smoked applewood bacon and yogurt parfaits.  Will make some muffins for tomorrow’s breakfast.

Brad and I so enjoy meeting new people and the fascination of their lives……everyone is a walking book.

We want to leave you today with a special inspirational verse with hopes of encouraging your hearts……….this is in lieu of the magnificent beauty that surrounds us!!

Psalm 100 -  Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!  Serve the LORD with gladness!  Come into his presence with singing!  Know that the LORD, he is GOD!  It is he who made us; and we are his, we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise!  Give thanks to him; bless his name!  For the LORD is good, his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY WITH THE LORD!!  SEE YOU SOON……………BRAD AND NANCY

Howdy……..we have been working hard cleaning and sprucing up the Inn getting ready for our wonderful guests!!   The weather today in Jackson Hole is 60′s and sunny…amazing for a scenic drive viewing the wildlflowers and newborn wildlife.   We are so excited about the arrival of old and new friends such as yourselves.  We have relocated our front desk so we will be more visible to your arrival at the Inn.   For those of you who haven’t seen the Grand Teton Park or Yellowstone Park please allow enough time to leisurely see the beauty that awaits you.  From our Inn’s location which is on the northern fringe of the town of Jackson we can be a base lodging with an easy day’s drive to Teton Park and the lower half of Yellowstone.   We would suggest that you stay at other entrances of Yellowstone to see the upper half of the park.

Well, I need to go for now but wanted to keep in touch.    See you soon………..Brad and Nancy

WE OFFER FREE AMENITIES

Hello Friends and Guests……..As you read previously about our honeymoon we had many opportunities to stay at various lodging facilities.  One thing that is shocking is all the extras that a guest has to pay for like parking, water, etc.  One place you had to order ice.

What is so special about our bed and breakfast at Grand Victorian Lodge is we offer free parking, ice, wi-fi, homemade breakfast and homemade cookies in the afternoon.  Isn’t it wonderful that something is still free in this world?  We want to add a computer center for you to print boarding passes or check your emails.

Quite a few of you have asked about our breakfast and when it is offered.  We will have two seatings at 7:15 and 8:15 am and if the seatings fill up or you wish to eat and go we will provide trays for you to take  breakfast to your room, lobby or porches. We will also provide breakfast to go for those early birds.  We want to be flexible for your desire to head out early whether it is to Grand Teton or Yellowstone Parks or perhaps you have an early flight.   We realize that there is so much fun awaiting you and you may want to eat and run or relax and meet other wonderful guests who just might be your neighbor ( that has happened ) :-)

Until we meet again in blog or in person, may your journey lead you to us………our sincere blessings……..Nancy and Brad, your hosts

Wild West Days

Howdy from the Innkeeper of Grand Victorian Lodge………  Just wanted to mention about the Wild West Days coming up the end of May that basically kicks off the season.  You can find out more about the festivities on  jhchamberof commerce.com    Our bed and breakfast is just 3 short blocks from the historic town square where the heart of the festivities take place.   So no worries about parking but just a hop and skip to where it all takes place.

Brad and I come from the mid-west area…..Kentucky and Michigan respectively but we truly do not miss home but consider Jackson Hole a home that we love.   One of our favorite activities every year is to get our Bar J fix.   Talk about a western cowboy experience you would love the cowboy supper and show that makes you want to buy cowboy boots, hat, buckle and a horse!!!!!!!!   Of course, there are outfits here that take care of riding a horse fix.

Sure hope you all are well and we look forward to having you as our guest here at the Grand Victorian Lodge in Jackson Hole……..home of the world renowned Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks.  We are just a short distance to the parks and airport.   Give us a jingle at 800.584.0532 or email us at gvl@grandvictorianlodge.com

HOSPITALITY BY INNKEEPERS

Howdy from Jackson Hole………home of the Grand Victorian Lodge.  The beauty of a bed and breakfast is the opportunity to see, meet and visit with the innkeepers who are the owners.  It is not often that when one stays at a lodging facility that you are able to meet the owners and it is such a wonderful treat.  When Brad and I stayed at a bed and breakfast in Kaui we loved meeting and visiting with the sole lady owner.   She was very personable and it was evident that she loves people.  We are so excited about meeting all of you this summer and keep in mind that a visit with us creates a memorable experience and not just a cookie cutter memory of a chain hotel/motel.   Often times Brad and I hang out in the afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea on the sunny front porch and visit with our guests.  So come and see us in Jackson Hole :-)   where the buffalo roam in Yellowstone and Teton Park amongst other wildlife.    It is so much fun here…..you will never be bored.   Your hosts,  Brad and Nancy

Howdy Friends………We are just around the corner to reopening our bed and breakfast on May 1 and the national parks will open the middle of May.  Temps have been warming so the snow is melting rapidly preparing for the outstanding spring wildflowers.   Presently, we are offering a May special for those early bird vacationers so come spend some time with us at a super savings and a peek at the wildlife babies.  A fun time to be in Jackson Hole and national parks.    Consider Memorial Weekend so you can stay longer.

Wildlife such as bison, elk, moose, deer, eagles, wolf and my most favorite black and grizzly bear.  Magnificent animals but make no mistake observe their beauty safely from the car.  If you should hike, make sure you take bear spray or go with a hiking tour.

See you soon and if you wish to ask us questions contact us at 800.584.0532 or 307.739.2294……..Your hosts,  Bradley and Nancy Cummins
